With a soulful and raw emotive delivery reminiscent of Janis Joplin, Lauryn Hill and Tracey Chapman, she tells it like it is, leaving listeners feeling elevated, uplifted and inspired. This ‘ethical diva’ truly rocks up and delivers. Danelle is an advocate for an ecologically sound planet and as the original ‘Fairtrade Music Artiste’ Danelle began instigating positive changes through her music early in the millennium. A percentage of proceeds from all her music sales is distributed directly between Fairtrade producers in the developing world and other global and humanitarian causes. |

Hélélé |
Afro-beat Hélélé are an incredible fusion of spontaneous, vibrant live music. Alphonse Daudet Touna fronts the band, demonstrating his exceptional talent on the balafon and his aptitude for communicating ideas of peace, non-violence and anti-racism. Since arriving in Britain from Cameroon in 2001 Alphonse has worked solidly on building a creative outlet for his musical inspiration and Hélélé is the result. He has played around the world on a journey that has taken him from Cameroon, through France and Italy, to the UK. Now a resident of Bristol, he has formed the band with some of the city’s finest musicians. Expect to dance. |
